DERI 는 아이렌드에 있는 시맨틱 기술 연구소이고 세계에서 가장 큰 시맨틱 웹 연구를 진행하고 있는 기관이다. 희한하게 시맨틱 웹 관련 연구는 유럽에서 흥하고 있는거 같다.. 물론 아직까지 쓰이고 있는듯 없는듯 체감은 안되지만 알게 모르게 의료나 마케팅, 검색 등 연구에 씌이고 있다...연구실에 있을때 알게 되었고 너무 가고싶은 곳이지만 쉽지 않는거 같다... 언젠가 한번 여기서 프로젝트 하는 날이 오면은...
DERI 소개 동영상을 보면 현재 발생하고 있는 빅데이터 및 수많은 도큐멘트들을 처리하고, 관계를 파악하고 단순한 분산된 데이터나 문서가 아닌 시맨틱 웹 기술을 사용하여 관계를 끌어내고 연결된 무한한 지식으로 만들어서 산업 및 현생활에 응용하는 것이다.

- DERI Galway - The vision of the Digital Enterprise Research Institute is to be recognised as one of the leading international web science research institutes interlinking technologies, information and people to advance business and benefit society.
- DERI Stanford - DERI Stanford will develop the advanced information technology for web-based enterprise management. Research topics include enterprise modelling, deductive databases, knowledge management, logical spreadsheets, data integration, web service integration, and open (multi-enterprise) workflow management.
- DERI Seoul - 서울대학교 의생명 지식공학연구실 BiKE Lab으로 알려져 있음
PS : 아일랜드 Higher Education 을 Apply할때는 www.pac.ie에 등록후 신청해야 된다.

Research Masters and PhD applicants
You'll need to submit a research proposal along with your application. This application will take two steps:
- A potential supervisor must review and approve
- Submit your applicaton through the online PAC system.
Contact the College, School or Division relevant to the programme you're interested in to find out whether a member of the academic staff is available to supervise your research.
